January 25, 1930 - February 13, 2024
Delores L. Jorge was born and raised in Los Banos. In 1953, Delores married Joe P. Jorge and raised three children. Delores passed away on February 13, 2024, just in time to spend her 71st wedding anniversary with her beloved Joe on Valentines Day.
Delores worked at the school cafeteria for 26 years. After retirement from the school district, she enjoyed traveling with Joe. She liked spending time with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joe P. Jorge; her parents Joe and Gertrude Ribeiro; sisters: Mary Cambra, Adelina Leonard, Margaret Alves, and Rita Ribeiro. Delores is survived by her children Lillian (Anthony) Pereira, Arnold (Blanche) Jorge, and Alvin (Cindy) Jorge. There are seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation on February 21, 2024, at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel beginning at 5:00 p.m.; the rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. there will be a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church; burial will follow at the Los Banos District Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapels ~ Los Banos.
