Champ Clark Starks Jr.
February 27, 1951 - January 23, 2024

Champ Clark Starks Jr was born on February 27, 1951, in Sunflower, Mississippi, to Champ Clark Starks Sr and Mary Louise McKenzie, both of whom preceded him in death, along with his beloved siblings Bobbie Ann Travis, Bernice Starks, Shirley Ann Starks, Lillie Starks-Johnson, and James Lee Starks, respectively.

Champ was educated in the Chicago public school system, graduating from Waller High School. Champ was a hard-working man and had a long-standing position at the JLO Metro Steel Mill. Champ devoted 32 years of his life to the mill, providing for his family, including his beloved wife of 41 years, Mary Nunley.

The Lord called Champ home on Tuesday, January 23rd at 1:35 P.M. Champ was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Mary; his only son Joel Nunley; his only daughter Shalonda Nunley; siblings Minister Edward Starks, Robert Starks, Mildred Griffin, and Ernastine Starks; nephews Byron, Terrell, Edward Jr, Emmanuel, Manasseh, and Aaron; nieces Janice Sims, Kimberley Burnett, Elisha Starks, Ericka Starks, Charmaine Travis, Gwen Starks, and Kyla Starks; as well as many cousins and friends.
