Frank Decker 83, of Silver City, IA passed away Friday, January 26, 2024 at the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Frank and his family.

OBITUARY
Franklin Glen Decker, 83 of Silver City, IA, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024 at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA.
Frank was born on January 24, 1941 in Little Sioux, IA, the son of Arch Pearl and Viva (Hunt) Decker. He has lived in the Silver City area his whole life. Frank worked as a semi-truck driver until his retirement.
Frank and Dixie Lea Fisher were united in marriage on February 23, 1957 at the Holiness Church in Pacific Junction, IA. They were blessed with four children, Debra, Frank Jr, Terry and Cindy Lou.
Frank loved the outdoors, especially camping, fishing and even enjoyed chopping firewood. He enjoyed watching basketball and loved spending time with his pets. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and a good friend to all who knew and loved him.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; son Terry; sister Millie, and brothers, Charles and Virgil.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years Dixie Decker of Silver City; children, Debra (Mark) Erickson of Malvern, IA, Frank Jr (Dorrie) Decker of Davenport, IA, and Cindy Lou Decker of Ralston, NE; several grandchildren; sisters, Jean Mullins of Bellevue, NE, and Lois Severance of Mulberry, FL; other relatives; and many special friends.
