Daekota Joseph Babrick
October 20, 1993 - January 17, 2024

Daekota Joseph Babrick, 30, passed away at his Florence, Alabama, residence on January 17, 2024. He was born October 20, 1993, in Washington, Indiana, to Rodney and Jamey (Edwards) Babrick.

After high school, Daekota went on to earn an Associate's Degree in audio engineering. He was employed at Tasus Automotive in Florence, Alabama, as a processing technician.

Daekota had a magnetic personality. People fell in love with him the moment they met him. He was also known to be a master musician. He had the ability to play several instruments and could recreate any musical score after hearing it one time. He loved to record music and compose his own music as well. He wrote the first song his brother and wife danced to as a married couple. He was everything his brother lived for - he was "The Robin" of their Dynamic Duo.

Those who mourn Daekota's passing include his mother, Jamey Babrick of Washington, Indiana; his brother, Jakob (Jennifer) Babrick of Tuscumbia, Alabama, and grandmother, Karyl Edwards.

Daekota was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Babrick; his paternal grandparents, Billy Joe and Eva Mae (Cannon) Babrick; and his maternal grandfather, William James Edwards.

Visitation for Daekota Babrick will be 4:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Daekota Babrick at 11:30 am, Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 315 NE 3rd Street, Washington, Indiana. Father Paul Ferguson will be the celebrant.

Burial will be at a later date.
