In loving memory of

Joseph Carmo
October 23, 1928 - January 6, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph (Joe) Arthur Carmo announce his passing on January 6, 2024, at the age of 95. Joe was born in Stevenson, CA on October 23, 1928, to his loving parents Palmira and Arthur Carmo. Joe, at the age of 2, moved with his parents to Los Banos, CA where he lived his entire life.
At the age of 22, Joe was inducted into the Unites States Army on December 8, 1950. His duties were to make sure communications were always intact as an Army Lineman in Korea. Joe dutifully served his country for 6 years and was Honorably Discharged as a Corporal on August 30, 1956.
Joe had 3 great loves in his life. His wife, his children including grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and CAMPING. Joe loved pulling his trailer to any campground. Whether it be the majestic mountains or the sandy beaches of California. Joe loved the outdoors. One of his favorite places to go camping is just 15 miles from his home in Los Banos at the Forebay in Santa Nella. Joe would go every weekend if he could. An honorable mention of things Joe loved would be the Raiders. Didn't matter if they were Oakland, Los Angeles or Las Vegas. He was a lifelong Raiders fan.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents Palmira and Arthur Carmo, his baby brother Lawrence Carmo, his wife of 48 years Evelyn Carmo, his daughter Jeannette Clackum, and his baby grandson Cody Carmo.
Joe is survived by his children Debbie (Ron) Bristow, Larry (Lisa) Carmo, Luneida (Robert) Teicheira, Alan (Yolanda) Carmo, Michael (Jeanna) Carmo and Joanna Kuckenbecker, and 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services for Joe will be held on January 16, 2024, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Los Banos, Ca. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am followed by the saying of the Rosary at 10 am and Mass to start at 10:30 am. Burial for Joe will be held at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella at 1 pm.
