"Oh how I loved this woman. I first met Helene when I was working at Meredith in the late ?90s, early 2000s. I have so many memories of our girl trips to Las Vegas and Colorado. Once we stopped doing these, we?d have local road trips to a casino or lunch or shopping. We are 27 years apart in age and people always assumed I was her daughter. Helene would call me a name, I?d call her old lady, and we?d laugh at the looks we?d get. I always told her I wanted to be like her when I grew up-with friends of all ages and loving life.
