In loving memory of

Virginia Fought
February 4, 1932 - December 7, 2023

Virginia Rose (Archer) Fought born February 4th, 1932, in a farmhouse in Logan, Kansas died on December 7th, 2023, in Des Moines, IA. Daughter of Lloyd and Tillie Archer, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond and Vernon Archer. She is survived by three daughters (Debbie Freed, Tammie Bertrand, and Brenda Fought), six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was more than just statistics though. She was one of the last members of the greatest generation. She lived her life with grace, hard work, manners, and above all love guided by her unwavering faith in Christ. She passed these traits on to her children, her grandchildren, and even her great grandchildren. These long-lost qualities are a remembrance of a bygone era where, in this world, all of these are needed in a much bigger supply. Our mother had all these qualities in abundance. We are grateful for the time that we had with her, and we will always remember the things that she taught us. We look so fondly on the memories and traditions that we shared and most of all the love and acceptance that she gave to each one of us. We have been truly blessed to have been guided by such a beautiful soul.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring of 2024.
