Richard Tuvell

Richard David Tuvell, 76, of Fort Dodge passed away Friday, November 17, 2023 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2023 at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home. In honor of Rick, please wear jeans and be comfortable at his service.
Richard David Tuvell was born March 1, 1947 to Walter and Esther (Barkema) Tuvell in Fort Dodge. He was raised in Fort Dodge and graduated from FDSH in 1965.
On October 23, 1987, he was united in marriage to Janet Rice. Richard worked for the Fort Dodge Police Department from 1973 to 1988. He also owned and operated Pelham Water Conditioning Service. He is a past member of the Iowa Water Quality Association and the Fort Dodge Home Builder Association, serving a term as president. Rick enjoyed spending time with his family, especially going to car shows.
Richard is survived by his wife Janet, sons Michael Tuvell and his wife Tiffany of Glenview, IL, Ryan Tuvell (Daenette) of Fort Dodge, Jeremy Mortensen and his wife Cortney of O'Fallon, MO, grandchildren Boston Tuvell, Emerson Tuvell, Jacob Mortensen, Carliegh Mortensen, Abigail Mortensen, Jack Mills, and Owen Mills.
He preceded in death by his parents.
