Bud (Earl) Maddocks, 70, Glenwood, IA, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood. Visitation at the funeral home will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Bud and his family.

OBITUARY
Bud (Earl) Maddocks III, 70 of Glenwood, IA, formerly of Silver City, IA, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

Bud was born on September 29, 1953 in Winterset, IA, one of five children of Earl Jr and Betty Louise (Olson) Maddocks. Bud graduated from Glenwood High School with the Class of 1971. He established "Maddocks Roofing", serving many homes and businesses in the southwest Iowa area.

Bud and Donna Weak were united in marriage on June 2, 1991 in Wasilla, Alaska. They lived in Alaska for 10 years before moving to live in Silver City, IA. The couple was blessed with two children, Stephanie and Brandon. Bud and Donna later moved to live in Glenwood.

Bud loved living in Alaska and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed telling jokes and talking with his friends and customers. He loved traveling, going out to eat, and always had a glass of ice tea in his hand. Bud loved spending time with his family and visiting friends.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Betty; brother Bruce Maddocks; and brother-in-law Eric Maxwell.

Bud is survived by his wife of 32 years, Donna Maddocks of Glenwood; daughter Stephanie Williams and husband Dan of Wilhoit, AZ; son Brandon Maddocks of Glenwood; grandchildren, Cheyenne Razo and her husband Andy and their son Charles of Wilhoit, AZ, and Nathan Williams of Jackson, MI; sister Carol Maxwell of Treynor, IA; brothers, James Maddocks and wife Sandy of Malcom, IA, and Alan Maddocks and wife Techi of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sister-in-law June Maddocks of Glenwood; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many, many friends.
