Greece: Passed away peacefully on November 1, 2023, at age 80. Predeceased by his parents James and Isabelle Nelson; sister Mary Deney; brothers Brian and Dan Nelson. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Donna; children Susan Fout, Deborah Nelson, Laura (Todd) Colvin & Jon (Kristie) Nelson; brothers Mike (Jan) Nelson, Joe (Bonnie) Nelson, Dave (Colleen) Nelson; sister Pat (Roy) Wisnoski; sisters-in-law Irene Nelson, Barbara Nelson; brother-in-law Richard Deney; grandchildren Kristina, Katey, Tony, Jerry, Olivia, Rylee, & Aiden; 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Jim worked as a chemical engineer at Kodak for more than 35 years and at Meals on Wheels for over 25 years.
Jim's life story will be celebrated during visitation on Friday, November 3rd from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. His Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 4th at 12:00 PM at St Marks Roman Catholic Church, 54 Kuhn Road, Rochester 14612. Interment will be held privately.
