OBITUARY
Larry Dean Schoening, 61 of Macedonia, IA, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Larry was born on February 12, 1962 in Council Bluffs, IA, one of three sons of LaVon and Rogene (Storm) Schoening. He was a graduate from the Carson-Macedonia High School in 1980. Larry was employed at AgriVision Equipment (John Deere) in Macedonia as a Service Advisor, working there for 41 years.

Larry married Marla Bentley at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Treynor, IA on August 18, 1990. They had one son Cale and one daughter Taylor. They later separated.

Larry enjoyed tinkering and finding items for his never-ending assortment of collectables. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, family, children, and grandchildren. He was a kind and loving father who loved his family and got a kick out of his four grandchildren. He'd probably tell them to "Just Relax" or "Slow Down! Let's think about this."

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

Larry is survived by his son, Cale Schoening (Kali) of Bellevue, NE; daughter, Taylor Pedersen (Landen) of Topeka, KS; four grandchildren, Noah Schoening, and Rowen, Henry and Stella Pedersen; brothers, Gary Schoening (Michelle) of Vinton, IA, and Michael Schoening (Jackie) of Hancock, IA; other relatives and many friends.
