Cort M. Kallansrud, 22, of Fort Dodge passed away Friday, September 15, 2023 at Trinity Regional Medical Center.
Visitation and Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday September 20, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home.
Cort is survived by his mother Emily Rees, father Michael Kallansrud, sisters Gracie, Kya Rees, Maliyah Moore-Rees, and Makenah Moore-Rees, paternal grandparents Sandy Kallansrud of Spirit Lake, IA and Earl Kallansrud of Kansas City, MO, Diana (Dennis) Crouse of Coalville, IA, and Deb Koestner-Rees of Fort Dodge, aunts and uncles Jim and Kerry Rees, Traci Rees, and Amy Rees, Tonya and Nathan Himley, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his maternal grandparent Papa (Pat) Rees and cousin Daetoria Rees.
Cort Michael Kallansrud was born November 3, 2000, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He attended the Humboldt School System graduating in 2019 from Humboldt High School.
Cort enjoyed motor sports, the outdoors, and had a great sense of humor.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

"Cort my buddy I have so many memories of you and I in Rochester MN for weeks at a time we would laugh we would cry you would get angry at me but at the end of the day I tucked you in and walked to Ronald McDonald House and we did that over and over for weeks at a time. I will miss you so very much. I remember living with you your mom and Kya remember she would throw a fit when she had to to bed took both of us to get her up there to bed. You both grew up to be beautiful adults and thank God for your mom she is awesome. I just have so many memories I love you and you will be in my heart forever.
