Alfonsina (D'Angelo) Feola

Passed away on September 6, 2023. Alfonsina is predeceased by her husband, Antonio Feola; siblings, Veneranda (PDDM), Giuseppina (Luigi De Rosa), Antonietta (Francesco Scialdone), Erminia (Nicodemo Natale), Salvatore D'Angelo; brother-in-law, Romano Pierleoni. She is survived by her son, Jack (Barbara) Feola; grandchildren, Julianne (Aaron Mislivec), Jacqueline and Melissa; sister, Aurora Pierleoni; brother, Giorgio (Anna) D'Angelo; sister-in-law, Rosa D'Angelo; many nieces and nephews in the United States and Italy.

Alfonsina emigrated to the United States in 1949 at age 18. She was married to her kind and loving husband Tony in 1951. Together they worked hard to achieve their dreams of a happy, successful life in America. Alfonsina worked for Hickey Freeman for a few years before giving birth to her only son Jack, whom she adored. She welcomed with loving arms her daughter-in-law and three grandchildren who were the light of her life and she devoted herself to them. Cooking for friends and family brought her much joy and she was well known for her "wandis." She often lovingly spoke of her family in Italy with tears in her eyes, relaying stories from her childhood and the sacrifices of leaving them behind. She loved sharing her wisdom and guidance with her grandchildren, and always made sure to throw in a joke or funny sentiment. She leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and laughter.

Alfonsina's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd. Entombment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester, NY. Memorial donations can be made in Alfonsina's name to Our Mother of Sorrows Church.
