Rosalyn Marie Soares Garcia, 62, passed away on August 15, 2023 at Clovis Community Hospital surrounded by the love of family and friends. Rosalyn was born October 31, 1960 to Albert and Rosa Soares in San Jose, California. She was welcomed to the family by her older siblings, Edwin and Carolyn. Their family continued to grow and she soon became an older sister to her brothers David and Bobby. They lived on the family dairy in San Jose until they moved to Los Banos in 1979.
In 1980, Rosalyn married the love of her life, Eddie, who she built a beautiful family with over the last 43 years. They were blessed with their daughter Jacqulyn and three years later they welcomed their son, Jacob. She earned the title of grandma with the birth of her first granddaughter, Joshlyn. Her title had changed to "Mama" by the time her granddaughter Kaelyn was born and her family was finally completed with the birth of her grandson Case.
In 1994, her father asked if Rosalyn and Eddie would help him run the family business. Rosalyn proudly worked alongside her dad, her husband, her brother and her son at Soares Dairy Farms, Inc. When her dad passed away in 2010 she was honored to sit at the desk she watched him work behind for so many years. She not only managed the office at the dairy, but at times she could be found driving tractors or feeding and caring for the calves.
Rosalyn was also an active member of the Los Banos DES Portuguese Association. She started as a director, and then became the treasurer and one of her most profound achievements was becoming the first woman president for the 100th anniversary. She was overjoyed that her daughter and granddaughters participated as queens and sidemaids to honor the Holy Spirit as she did.
Everyone who knew Rosalyn knew she would be there for her people in a minute without hesitation, however, it came with the price of her quickly appointing herself as the person in charge. Anyone in her circle also knew you didn't ask her opinion unless you wanted to hear her truth. She worked hard at everything she did, so she left her mark everywhere she went. Anyone who worked alongside her knew she would be the last one to leave and she would do anything that needed to be done. The beach was always her favorite place and the rebel of her youth loved Harley rides. She was the epitome of the strength of a woman and her life was well lived.
Rosalyn was preceded in death by her brother, Albert Soares Jr, and father, Albert Soares.
Rosalyn is survived by her husband, Eddie, daughter, Jacqulyn and her fiancé, Lee, son Jacob, grandchildren Joshlyn, Kaelyn and Case; her mother, Rosa and siblings Ed (Judy), Carolyn, David, and Bobby.
Rosalyn also leaves behind a tribe of family and friends that will forever miss her.
