"Today I learned of Jim?s passing. I was shocked and saddened. I met Jim in 1992 when he supervised the plantings of my front landscape. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable, and has helped me over the years with new landscaping projects. He will be missed. My deepest sympathy to his family. Sheri Keefe"

"We are so sorry to hear of Jim?s passing. As an employee of VanPutte he always provided the most patient & utmost care for our landscaping improvements & maintenance needs. Just last fall he suggested an addition of a hibiscus plant to a berm replacement project in our backyard . Just 3 weeks ago the 1st blossom opened & I thought how appreciative I was for his suggestion and that I would thank him next time I saw him. We will think of him each blossom season. Kind Regards Tom & Rena "

"The farmland of our family slowly transitioned to houses in the late 1960's. One of the first houses built belonged to the Patrick's. From almost the moment they moved in our familes "hung out". In high school he was in the theatre program with me, and we set up the PA system for basketball games. Jim had the Oldsmobile station wagon and he was happy to give a ride home from whatever after school thing we did together. Entertainment on the ride home was always KISS blaring from an 8-Track. I could never convince him to switch to a cassette player. He always insisted that the 8-Track would "win out" and cassettes would go away. Saw him a few times since, but never friendly like back then. RIP Jim Patrick. Thanks for the ride."
