David J. McColley, 65, of Fort Dodge, passed away, Thursday August 3, 2023.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Friday August 11, 2023, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. Dave is survived by his wife Ronette; children, Jennifer (Nate) Wolfe, Nick (Melissa) McColley, and Zach McColley; grandchildren, Tenley and Kaia McColley; siblings, Mark McColley, Deb (Dale) Williams, Jeff McColley, Marie (Mike) Bayer, and Tim McColley.
Dave is preceded in death by his parents Gerald McColley and Ruby (Kapustka) McColley, and his brother, Matt McColley.
David Jerome McColley was born October 22, 1957, in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated in Fort Dodge, graduating from St. Edmond High School in 1976. Dave was united in marriage to Ronette Hoover on December 1, 1978. He continued his education at Iowa Central Community College, where he played football for the Triton's. Dave then continued his education at Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he graduated in 1992 with his Doctorate of Chiropractic.
Dave golfed for many years and loved woodworking and fishing. He would take trips to South Dakota to fish with his late father-in-law, and trips to the boundary waters with his brothers. Dave also had a fondness for bees; he was in his fourth year of beekeeping.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
