OBITUARY
Steven Dickersbach, 67 of Malvern, IA, passed away Monday, July 10, 2023 at his rural Malvern home.
Steven Lynn Dickersbach, the second of three children of Otha and Maxine (Doncheske) Dickersbach, was born on January 28, 1956 in Council Bluffs, IA. He grew up and attended grade school and high school in Malvern, graduating from Malvern High School in 1974. Steven completed some college classes at Iowa State University with a focus on agriculture. After completion of college level classes, Steven returned to Malvern to farm with his father and brother on the homestead and continued to farm until 2018.
Steven married Linda Maxine (Bledsoe) Thompson on August 20, 1988 in Bellevue, NE. Their union was blessed with the birth of their daughter, Megan Lianne, in August of 1994.
Farming was Steven's passion and he took great care of the animals (especially his pigs) and the land where he planted corn, soybeans, and at one time, wheat. Outside of farming, Steven enjoyed watching sports - especially the Royals, traveling to Kansas City or other nearby cities every summer, and spending time with his family. Steven was very social, always had a smile on his face, and enjoyed meeting new people everywhere he went.
Preceding Steven in passing were his parents, Otha and Maxine Dickersbach; and his uncle LeRoy Doncheske. Survivors include his daughter, Megan (Charles) Ruff, and their sons, Graham and Brooks, all of Glenwood, IA; brother Glen Dickersbach of Malvern; sister Valerie (Jim) Melton of Silver City, IA; aunt Mary Naish of Wymore, NE; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
