In loving memory of

Ruth (Bynum) Conrad
May 11, 1941 - June 17, 2023

Ruth (Bynum) Conrad, 82, passed away peacefully at her Washington residence during the early morning hours of June 17, 2023, with her family by her bedside. She was born in Washington on May 11, 1941 to Otis John and Nora Ellen (Thomas) Bynum. She was married to Vernia Leon Conrad and he preceded her in death, October 29, 2008.

Ruth was known to be a fantastic cook. Her family will miss her chicken and noodles and the many fish frys she made from Vernia's catch of the day. She enjoyed quilting, and reading her Bible along with her daily routine of prayers. However, Ruth was happiest when she was spoiling her grandchildren. In her later years, she was a caretaker and homemaker. Ruth attended Bethany Church.

Those who now mourn Ruth's passing include her children: Mona McCormick, Amanda (Daniel) DiMaggio and Samantha (Luis) Brito all of Washington; her granddaughter, Everly DiMaggio; her great-grandchildren: Correno, Nakia, Ellah, Kylar, and Bella. Ruth came from a large family and now leaves a sister, Esther Groves; and a brother, David Bynum all of Washington.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Otis John and Nora Ellen Bynum; her husband, Vernia Leon Conrad; sisters: Norma Fleck, Yvonne Bynum; brothers: Joseph Bynum, Samuel Bynum, and John Bynum.

The family will have a private memorial gathering at a later date.

Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.edleemortuary.com.

The staff of the Ed Lee Mortuary is honored to have been entrusted with arrangements for Ruth Conrad.
