In loving memory of

Victoria Zabala Calhoun
August 4, 1957 - June 11, 2023

It brings us great sadness to share that our mother, Victoria "Vicki" Zabala Calhoun unexpectedly passed on Sunday June 11, 2023.
Vicki was born in Salinas, CA to Victor and Peggy Zabala. She attended Our Lady of Fatima elementary school and Los Banos high school. She then continued her education graduating in 1979 with a bachelor's degree in finance at California State University Stanislaus.
She spent the majority of her life active in her local parishes, and in the last years of her life, she was an active and passionate member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church community. She also looked after her mother, Peggy Zabala and did bookkeeping for the family business.
Vicki, known fondly as "Grandma Mickey," also adored her three grandsons and was excited to become a grandmother for the fourth time this early July.
Vicki had a generous heart which was appreciated and experienced by many. She additionally had a soft spot for animals and had rescued many cats and dogs over the years. Before she passed, her chickens, dogs and cat kept her especially busy and entertained.
She is survived by her mother, Peggy Zabala of Los Banos, her sister, Valerie Zabala Rolph (Craig) of Colorado, and her two children, Leslie Calhoun Reis (Gabriel) of Visalia, and John Calhoun of Morgan Hill. Her grandsons include Leslie's son, Mateus (2yo), (with an upcoming grandson due July 4th), and John's sons, Benjamin (12yo) and Lucas (9yo). Vicki was preceded in death by her father, Victor Zabala and her brother, Mitch Zabala.
The Holy Rosary will be held on Monday, June 19th, 2023, at 12:00pm, followed by the Funeral Mass at 12:30pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Los Banos. The burial will follow at Los Banos Cemetery District.
