In loving memory of

David March
August 21, 1940 - June 3, 2023

A son, a cousin, a father, a stepfather, a grandfather, a great-grandfather, a sponsor, a counselor and a friend. David embodied all of these virtues. Even on his most difficult days, he courageously accepted challenges with optimism, with humor and with love. His family and his friends were what he treasured most in life. David R. March was born on August 21,1940 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He relocated to California with Carole in the 1960's. He then became a proud father to Todd and Chris. A short time later, he extended his family by marrying Helen and becoming a stepfather to Mykel, Randi and Joe. In 2000, he married his wife, Ann, and graciously extended his family once more. As an avid Los Banos resident, he served the community as a loyal Odd Fellows member and worked for the school district for 35 years. He was also very proud of his sobriety and was passionate about self-help groups. He organized and led several support assemblies and was a mentor to many. David also enjoyed the theater, both locally and in San Francisco, traveling, sightseeing and immersing himself in various cultures. David was 82 years old when he was called to heaven. He is survived by his wife Ann March. His children: Todd and Chris March, Mykel Arretche, Randi Schroeter (Tom), and Joe McColloch (Lori). His grandchildren, Megan Grijalva, Molly Menezes, Matt McColloch, Gracian Arretche, Stephen Schroeter, Samantha McNutt, Ali Pope, Jacquline Arretche and Monique Arretche. Eight great-grandchildren and 2 more on the way. David is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Morrison March, his mother, Evelyn Engeseth March, and his late wives, Carole and Helen March.
