Eugene "Geno" Wilson
ROCHESTER - Transcended, April 2, 2023, at the age of 75. He is predeceased by great-grandmother, Annie Lawrence; father, Clyde Brooks; mother, Elise Plummer; stepfather, Willie Plummer; aunt, Katie Taylor; brothers, Paul Wilson and Kenneth "Steven" Plummer; granddaughters, Syirrah and Asarrah Nhial. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Linda Dukes-Wilson; children, Alex Wilson, Chara (Emory) Beale, Kenji (Tasharra) Dukes, Ebony (Curtis) Dukes, Jessica (Buay) Nhial, & Jaslynn Wilson; grandchildren, Alex, Aaron & Alyssa Wilson, Imani & Jaidyah Brewer, Jordan, Kamryn, & Harlee Dukes, Seanna-Marie & Curtis Jr. St. Rose, Jasiah Stewart; siblings, Patricia (Mark) & Kevin Plummer; dedicated cousins, Lisa Taylor and Sandra "Snooky" Wilson.
Eugene was born in Sanford, FL on January 18, 1948. He migrated to Rochester, NY in 1960 at the age of 12. He excelled in track in football at West High School and, after graduation, earned his skilled trade-manship from Manpower with certification from RIT as a Model Maker. Eugene retired from Delphi in 2006 after 38 years of employment. He enjoyed laughter, fishing, grilling, basketball, tennis, walking & biking nature trails, family road trips, and watching westerns & classic movies.
Geno's life story will be shared during his visitation on Tuesday, April 11th from 3-7 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane, 14626. His funeral service will be Thursday, April 13th at 11 AM at Central Church of Christ, 101 S. Plymouth Ave. - Rochester, NY 14608, followed by his burial in Grove Place Cemetery.
