Peter Canova

Peter M. Canova, 30, of Polk City, Iowa passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 in Des Moines, Iowa of an accidental drug overdose.
Born on March 2, 1993 to Stanley Canova Jr. and Wendy Canova in Des Moines, Iowa. He joined his older brother, Stanley Canova III and older sister Olivia Canova.
Peter was a sweet, soft soul that loved everyone. He never met a stranger. He was an avid skateboarder, snowboarder and mini-bike rider. He was very active and didn't do well with sitting still very long. Peter had many years of sobriety and met some struggles that tempted him back into addiction. He fought a good fight but addiction won and took his young life. He is now free!
Survived by his mother, Wendy Canova (Mike Bueltel), brother Stanley Canova III (Jennifer), sister Olivia Canova, nephews, Owen, Brody,Theo Canova and niece Maci Canova. Grandparents, Francis (Jeanette) Bolster, Jean (Larry) Jons, and Sally Canova. Multiple aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by his father, Stanley Canova Jr and grandfather, Stanley Canova Sr..
A Celebration of Life will be held April 1, 2023 at Walker Johnston Park/Giovennetti Community Shelter in Urbandale, Iowa from 11 to 2.
