Jeswina Mabel Rebeiro
August 28, 1926 - March 20, 2023

Jeswina Mabel Rebeiro, a loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at her home in Dos Palos, California on March 20, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was 96 years old.
She was born on August 28, 1926, in Los Banos, California the daughter of Manuel and Mary (Pinheiro) Cardoza.
A life-long California native, Jeswina was well-loved in her small town of Dos Palos. She was a mother of two.
She and her husband Joe worked tirelessly in the dairy farm business to provide opportunities for their children. In 1977 they sold their dairy cows but continued to work their farmland and provide for their growing family.
She volunteered at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and its many organizations. For many years Jeswina and her husband Joe were involved in the Dos Palos Portuguese DES Association helping to promote the annual festa and parade.
She will be greatly missed and remembered fondly and lovingly by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 39 years Joe Rebeiro Sr. and her daughter Kathleen Rebeiro Popejoy.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her son Joe Rebeiro Jr. and his wife Susan, three grandchildren; Joseph Rebeiro, Christina Jelen and Jeffrey Rebeiro, 5 great grandchildren; Damien Jelen, Gavin Jelen, Savanna Rebeiro, Zaiden Jelen, and Kahner Rebeiro and many family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel of Dos Palos at 5:00 pm followed by the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dos Palos at 10:00 am. Burial at Los Banos Cemetery District, 16575 Center Ave., Los Banos, CA.
