Stella Kotalik
Stella Kotalik, 87, Phoenix resident since 1971, passed to heavenly rest on March 8, 2023. Born in Southampton, New York in 1935, she graduated in 1956 from Southampton Hospital Nursing College with a RN degree and completed practicum at Columbia University Presbyterian Hospital. She married Lt. E.J. Kotalik, USAF pilot, in September 1956, and in 27 years of military life, she accompanied her husband on a dozen duty assignments in Canada and the eastern US until a final posting at Luke Air Force Base and then retirement in 1975.
After Air Force life, she worked ten years for the Washington Elementary School District as part of the health screening team, and she traveled extensively in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the Holy Land.
Seven children survive Stella: Karen, E.J., Karl, Robert, Susan, Nancy and Ken, and eight grandchildren: Elizabeth, Andrew, Ethan, Olivia, Mia, Chloe, Bryce and Daisy are her cherished blessing.
Funeral Mass information: 9:30 am at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Thursday, March 23, 2023. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the MHT chapter of St. Vincent de Paul, MHT School and Church, EWTN or Hospice of the Valley.
