"I am so very sorry for your loss and I am so sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all. I was blessed to have Cam in my 7th grade classroom (Des Moines Public Schools). He was so smart and inquisitive; asking the "why" questions-always wanting to learn more; especially in science. Cam was one of a kind; the student that brought many smiles to our classroom with his sense of humor. He was also thoughtful; when we were out for Covid, I wrote to each student, and Cam wrote a very nice letter back to me. "
"I had the pleasure of working with Cameron as a 4H judge. He came to the table with an infectious smile, a positive attitude and lots of personality. He was attentive and so respectful to all I had to say. These are all the qualities we hope our youth have and he certainly did. I'm sending my deepest sympathies to his family, the Mills County 4H program, and his friends. Gina Battey"
"As a class mate of 2025 Cam was always there from showing up to make sure you were okay to bring gifts or snacks when you just needed a shoulder to cry on, he always brought us to our feet when we were at our lowest and brought a a beautiful smile to a darkened day, we miss cam so much and hope he shines just as bright"
"I had the honor of meeting Cam through the Mills County 4H program. I listened to several of his educational presentations and projects that he did awesome with. Sending my sincere condolences to his family, siblings, friends, classmates and fellow 4H members. "
