JoAnna Bernadette McGee
May 31, 1944 - January 5, 2023

JoAnna Bernadette McGee, 78, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2023 after an 8 year struggle with Alzheimer's Disease.

JoAnn was born in Toledo, Ohio to Joseph and Signorina Salpietro. The sixth child of 7 siblings, she later moved with her family to Phoenix, Arizona. JoAnn graduated from Sunnyslope High School and went to work for Sperry Flight Systems. During the Mid-Eighties, Sperry Aerospace was acquired by Honeywell where JoAnn spent the remainder of her career.

JoAnn was a hardworking, single mother of two sons, and she worked tirelessly to provide for her family. She very much enjoyed spending time and playing games with her sons, sisters, nieces, nephews and the many family friends that gathered often. She was always ready and willing to go out dancing or see a movie! She stayed active with social groups, her circle of close friends, and working on improvements to her house. She freely offered greetings of hugs and kisses and a quick polaroid picture of anyone and everyone. Those who knew and loved her, will miss her enthusiastic disposition, generous and giving nature, kind spirit and big smiles.

JoAnn is survived by her sons, James and Christopher McGee, her daughter-in-law, Suzie McGee, her grand-daughters, Madison and Taylor, her sister, Virginia Voltarel, her brother-in-law, Lee Kloft and her many nieces and nephews, all who would love one last opportunity to lose to her at cards.
