In loving memory of

Stacy Elizabeth Meyer
February 9, 1973 - March 6, 2023

Stacy Elizabeth Meyer, age 50, was carried on the wings of angels to her heavenly home on Monday, March 6, 2023. Although her passing will leave a tremendous void in our lives, we know that she is resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Stacy attended Quincy Public Schools and graduated from Quincy High School in 1992. While in Junior and Senior High School, she competed on the track team.

Anyone who knew Stacy very well, will remember her as a dynamic and energetic little gal. She wasn't very big, but she was larger than life to many of us. Her "adventures" were many, and usually full of fun and that laughter of hers that could not be ignored. One adventure that stands out was her trip to Arizona with a special friend that ended up being a two year deal working on a horse ranch and collecting tons of rocks. Just as important to her, though, were her many forays with her friends for a day of "creekin". She'd return home with a basket of rocks, fossils, artifacts, and other interesting objects that became beautiful decorations in her home.

Stacy never had trouble making friends. She talked constantly about her tenure at Ashley Home Store. She made so many great friends there, and felt like they were family to her. Stacy held numerous jobs in and around the Quincy Area where her coworkers became her lifelong friends. She also was special friends with the ladies in her bible study group. They were her friends in Christ.

Stacy had two furry friends as well, a doxie named Peanut and a Heinze 57 named Henry. Peanut passed away last year, but Henry is still going strong at almost 18 years old.

Stacy is survived by her daughter, Jayden (Richard Neyland) Ludwig, of Columbia, MO. Also her parents, Durinda and Denny Meyer of Quincy, three brothers who loved her dearly, Matt (Susan) Meyer, and their children, Madelynn, Hunter, and Hadley, and brothers Nick Meyer and Joseph Meyer. Two very special aunts, Debbie Disseler and Jackie Young. Also, several other uncles and aunts and a large number of cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Howard and Kay Young, and paternal grandparents, Paul and Corky Meyer.

Her family would like to thank her fantastic caregivers from Blessing Hospice, and the wonderful Blessing 6 North Staff for the superb care that she received while a patient on their unit.

"Durinda & Denny, It looks like heaven just added a new, beautiful angel! I am so very sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine your grief. Peace to your whole family. Indian Farewell Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on the snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain; I am the gentle autumn?s rain. When you awaken in the morning?s hush, I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there; I did not die. "
