June 28, 1949 - March 3, 2023

Rose Marie Foote 73, of Fort Dodge died March 3, 2023 at Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines, Ia. End of life services provided by Laufersweiler Funeral Home & Cremation. Interment to follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery at a later date.


Rose Marie Kathleen Wyatt daughter of Eugene Blair Sr. and Jennie Shelen (Benegas) Wyatt was born June 28, 1949 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She graduated from St. Edmond Catholic High School. On November 5, 1988, she married the love of her life Merle Edmond Foote.

She was employed with National Gypsum, followed by positions in the health care and customer service industries.


She enjoyed country/western movies and cruising around town. Aside from being sassy this great mother loved and cherished her children and family.


She is survived by her four children. David Lynn Wyatt of Davenport, Iowa. Julius Michael Wyatt of Nevada, Iowa. Jennie Shelen Wyatt and Amiyah Helen Byrd (nee Zachariah Edsel Wyatt) both of Fort Dodge, Iowa. Granddaughter Tina Marie Wyatt (Brandon) Anderson of Fort Dodge, Iowa. Seven great grand children. Brothers Eugene Blair Wyatt Jr. and Ronald Dean Wyatt, both of Dayton, Iowa. And sister Terry Lee Wyatt of Dustin, Oklahoma.


She was preceded in death by her husband in 2008. Her parents, two great grand children. And the fathers of her children Edward Seals Jr. and Hassan Hameed (ne James Benjamin Newsome).


You did beyond your duty. Now rest my queen.
