Dear Friends:

Many of you know that I served proudly in the United States Army from 1967 to 1969 as a member of the 1st Calvary Division during the Vietnam War. I am honored to have received a Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantry Badge as well as five Air Combat Medals in recognition of my service to our nation.

As I embrace the sunset of my life, it is my greatest desire to leave a legacy of support for the veterans in our community. My family and I have established the Larry J. Mastrella Veteran Family Fund which will be administered by the Veterans Outreach Center. The focus of this effort will be to provide emergency financial support to any veteran in need.

My hope and challenge to you is that you find it in your heart to contribute to this fund so that we can reach and serve as many at-risk veterans as possible. My family has committed to matching your gift dollar for dollar, up to $2,500.

Please direct your gift to Veterans Outreach Center, 447 South Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620. In the memo of the check, please write Mastrella Fund. For convenience, you may make your gift on line at vocroc.org. I would direct your questions to my son, Lawrence S. Mastrella at larry@larrymastrella.com or please contact Joan Brandenburg, Director of Advancement at Veterans Outreach Center, Joan.Brandenburg@vocroc.org or call (585) 295-7821.

Let's make sure that no veteran is left unserved, that no man or woman is left behind. Together we can change lives. Thank you for your kind consideration,

Sincerely,

Lawrence J. Mastrella - U.S. Army Veteran
