Jeff Zanders, 63 of Malvern, IA, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at his home. Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the Charles E. and Florence M. Lakin Community Center at the Mills County Fairgrounds in Malvern. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Malvern is caring for Jeff and his family.

OBITUARY
Jeffrey Marselus Zanders, 63 of Malvern, IA, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at his home.

Jeff was born on March 18, 1959 in Council Bluffs, IA, the youngest of two sons of William Carleton and Marjorie Claire (Steele) Zanders. He grew up in Malvern and graduated from the Malvern Community High School in 1977. Jeff started helping his dad farm when he was 16 years old and continued farming throughout his life. He was very proud of his Iowa Century Farm.

Jeff and Martha Lorraine Wyant were united in marriage on April 7, 1979 in Tabor, IA. They made their home in the Malvern area and were blessed with three children, Terra, Jamie, and Dillon.

Jeff was an avid golfer who also enjoyed bowling and playing poker. He loved working on and fixing up old cars. Jeff entered his restored 1969 Chevelle SS car in the World of Wheels car shows held in Omaha, winning several trophies. He loved watching NASCAR and was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. Jeff loved golfing at the Fairview Hills Golf Course in Malvern and participating in the golf tournaments. He won the Zanders Memorial traveling trophy several times. Most of all Jeff loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Claire Zanders; parents-in-law, Robert and Barbara Wyant; and brother-in-law Roger Wyant.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lorraine Zanders of Malvern; children, Terra Madison and husband Corey of Malvern, Jamie Kanngieser and husband Nick of Glenwood, IA, and Dillon Zanders and wife Michelle of Malvern; grandchildren, Wyatt, Adalynn, and Ashtyn Madison, and Jacie and Jada Kanngieser; brother Larry Zanders and wife Janet of Malvern; sister-in-law, Janaan Wright and husband Alan of Glenwood; several nieces and nephews; his aunt Marlene Zanders of Indianola, IA; other relatives; and a host of many friends.
