Anne Hoskins

Anne Hoskins, age 91, of Quincy, died Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 10:27 a.m. at home.

Anne was born December 16, 1931 in Brashear, Missouri, the daughter of Clarence and Mary Shanks Robertson. She married Lowell D. Hoskins on October 7, 1953 in Azusa, CA. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2022.

Anne was employed by the Social Security Administration in Quincy for over 30 years, retiring in 1987 as a Claims Representative. She enjoyed reading and being with her family.

Lowell and Anne enjoyed camping and traveling together. They traveled to all 50 states and many trips to England and Europe. They enjoyed antiquing and genealogy research. They spent many winters in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.

Anne is survived by two sons: Allan (Trudy) Hoskins of Quincy, and Tom (Sahara) Hoskins of Rogers, AR; five grandchildren: Sarah (Joey) Baxter of Cypress, TX; Kelle Hoskins of Sarasota, FL; Andrew (Kelsea) Hoskins of Quincy; Collin and Tanner Hoskins, both of Rogers, AR; four great grandchildren, Cody and Kaci Baxter, of Cypress, TX, and Hayden and Hudson Hoskins, of Quincy; two sisters, Myrtle Lee Nixon of Keosauqua, IA, and Jody (Jack) Watkins of Quincy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, three brothers, four brothers-in-law, and a sister-in-law.

Anne will be cremated and no services are planned.

"I knew Anne from Curtis Creek as she was one of the dining room table mates with my Mom. When I joined Mom, Anne, Joyce and Opal for lunch we shared stories, recipes , lots of laughs and on special occasions pie from Sprouts. My deepest sympathy to the family.
