In loving memory of

Brandon William Hansen
June 26, 1999 - January 21, 2023

Brandon William Hansen, son of Christopher and Jennifer (Boeck) Hansen was born on June 26, 1999 in Iowa City, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. He graduated from the Boyer Valley High School with the class of 2017. During high school, he worked at Pizza Ranch in Denison.

After graduation, Brandon moved to Minnesota where he enrolled in Inver Hills Community College and worked at UPS. He later enrolled at the Minnesota State University in Mankato where he was pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering with minors in Math and Chemistry. He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity where he met many longtime friends.

Brandon was an extremely hard worker, independent, determined, and was dedicated at all the things he put his mind to. He was the leader, spark, and force of the household. Brandon was the best big brother to Aaron, always looking out for him and being there when he needed. He enjoyed game nights with his family, especially chess, and working on math problems even when it wasn't school-affiliated. Brandon had a gentle heart and he loved his friends and family more than anything.

Brandon passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 21, 2023 in Denison, attaining the age of 23 years, 6 months, and 26 days. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Mark Hansen and uncle, Kenneth Hansen.

"Jennifer and family: We were saddened to learn about the passing of your son. Although we never had the opportunity to meet him, we have learned from reading about him that he must have been an amazing young man, a fine son and friend to all who met him. No doubt he got many of those great qualities from his Boeck grandparents, uncles and of course, his mother. Our sincere condolences to all of you. Tom and Cynthia McGrane."
