Joe Abyad, devoted husband to Amal for nearly sixty years, beloved Baba, Jido, Brother, Uncle, and Friend to us all.
Born July 9, 1933, in Palestine, Joe has always been lively and quick witted. In 1977, he bravely moved his family to the United States where he became a district sales manager at the local newspaper company. He eventually retired and moved to Arizona to be closer to family and became an active member of St. John of the Desert. His jokes, magic tricks, and loving affection will not soon be forgotten.
He is survived by his wife, four children & their spouses, thirteen grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
The funeral service will be at 10am on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at St. John of the Desert Melkite Catholic Church at 3718 E Greenway Road in Phoenix, followed by burial at Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. John of the Desert Church.
