Jac Lynn Marie Seils
August 3, 1957 - January 21, 2023

Jac Lynn Marie (Treinen) Seils was born on August 3, 1957 to Miles "Butch" and La Delle (Olson) Treinen in Le Mars, Iowa. She was baptized and later confirmed her faith at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. Jaci received her education in the Denison Community School District and graduated with the class of 1975. She then attended Stewart School of Cosmetology in Sioux City. She also took classes to receive her Certified Medication Aid (CMA) and worked at Eventide Lutheran Home for several years.

Jaci married Douglas Seils on May 19, 1984 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. The couple raised three children: Traci, Timothy and James. She worked at Farmland Foods for over 10 years. She started working at Charter Oak - Ute School in 2007 and retired on her 65th birthday. Jaci always made friends in the workplace.

Jaci was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. She enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley and watching his movies, she also enjoyed watching crime shows as a pastime. She was an avid sports fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Jaci will be remembered for being a talented artist. She also enjoyed her days working at the Charter Oak - Ute Schools with the children. Above all, she cherished her family and friends. She took every chance possible to visit her grandchildren. She was a proud wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma.

Jaci passed away unexpectedly at her home near Ricketts on January 21, 2023, at the age of 65 years, five months and 18 days.

Jaci was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Jeff Treinen and Mike Treinen. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Douglas Seils of Charter Oak; children: Traci Fineran of Des Moines, Timothy Seils (Chasity Cowden) of Des Moines, and James (Jamie) Seils of Minneapolis, Minnesota; six grandchildren: Blake, Seth, Colton, Alexis, Harper and William; two great-grandchildren: Kash and Declan; two sisters: Michele (Brian) Ertz of Manilla and Myla (Donnie) Dirks of Lake View; brother, Tony Treinen of Mondamin; sisters-in-law, Renee (Marion) Neddermeyer of Charter Oak, Merry (Duane) Jacoby of Schleswig, Cindy Treinen of Denison and Marsha Treinen of Geneseo, Illinois; numerous precious nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Memorials can be directed to the Zion Lutheran School.
