Mary Reider wrote on Jan 25, 2023:

"Aunt Joyce was the last of her generation of the Reider family. She was such a warm, caring person. She was always smiling and cheerful. Aunt Berna told me how wonderful Aunt Joyce was to our Grandma, Mary Reider, (Uncle Genes's mother). If Grandma wanted to go shopping downtown, Aunt Joyce would get the kids together and walk downtown with Grandma. When I attended NMU, I used to visit Aunt Joyce every couple of weeks and bring my laundry. She thought it was silly for me to spend money doing it at the dorm. She very patiently taught me how to fold a fitted sheet; a skill I've never forgotten. Very often she would have me leave the laundry and she would do it for me! She was always interested in what I was studying and how I was doing in my classes. The visits with her helped ease my home sickness. Wonderful memories for me. "
