Eugene O'Hanlon
O'Hanlon, Eugene of Phoenix passed away on January 15th, 2023, at the age of 94. Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, he resided in Phoenix with his family for over 50 years. Eugene C. O'Hanlon (Ret. NYPD) was a devoted and caring father to his surviving sons, Kevin and Steven and grandsons, Steven and Kevin Jose. Eugene was the son of the late Owen and Katherine O'Hanlon. He is survived by his sons Kevin and Steven and grandsons Steven and Kevin Jose.
After retirement from the NYPD he relocated to Phoenix and had a home built in the Moon Valley area. He worked for Turf Paradise Racetrack as a EMT for the Jockeys. He loved traveling to foreign countries with Lillian the love of his life. Visitation is Wednesday, January 25th, 5-7 pm at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. 7th St. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 10 AM at St. Paul's RC Church, 330 W. Coral Gables Dr., to be followed by interment at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. Funeral Procession will leave from Hansen Mortuary at 1 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley for the warm and compassionate care given to Eugene.
