Mildred Marie Dubois
September 23, 1919 - January 20, 2023

Mildred Derry Dubois, age103, passed away on January 20, 2023 in Henderson, Nevada.

She was born to Cora J. Hirth and Alfred H. Derry on September 23, 1919 in Grand Haven, Michigan. Until her teen years, her family resided in Quincy, Illinois. A high school graduation gift took her to Utah where she received an A.A. degree from Westminster Junior College in Salt Lake City, followed by a B.A. from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.

On December 13, 1942, Mildred and Lieutenant F. Ray Dubois were married at Randolph Field in San Antonio, Texas. World War II took them to Coffeyville, Kansas, Long Beach, California and Greenwood, Mississippi. Following the war, the Duboises settled in Salt Lake City, where Mildred lived for 56 years. She enjoyed wintering in Mesa, Arizona since 1990.

She was a founding member of Willow Creek Country Club where she was active in golf and bowling. She was a member of Chapter L, PEO Sisterhood in Salt Lake City for 57 years and in Chapter AK, Henderson, Nevada where she resided since the year 2000. Mildred enjoyed membership on the Woman's Board of Westminster College over 50+ years. She also served on the Board of the Utah Blind Center and the Westminster Alumni Board for several terms. She travelled extensively for many years and experienced time on each of the seven continents.

She is survived by a daughter, Jeanne C. Dubois and son, William W. Dubois (Becky), granddaughters, Heidi E. Huckleberry of Henderson, Nevada, a granddaughter, Julie A. Conway (David) and great-granddaughters Kylie A. Conway (Matt), and Katie L. Conway, all of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and grandson, Christopher J. Huckleberry of Washington D.C. She was preceded in death, by granddaughter, Cheri L Dubois, of Henderson Nevada.

Private graveside services and interment will be held in the Ellington Home Cemetery in Quincy, Illinois.
