In loving memory of

Raul Lopez Lozano
June 4, 1928 - January 7, 2023

Raul Lozano, beloved father & grandfather, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 7, 2023 to join his late wife Ramona, who passed in 2019. He is survived by his four children Richard, Rose, Rudy, & Rachel, 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Raul was born on a ranch in Piru, California, where he grew up and met his wife of 70 years, Ramona. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was stationed at Chinook Airbase in Hokkaido, Japan. His service as an Airplane & Engine Mechanic left an indelible impact on him, & was proudly remembered for the rest of his life.

After returning home, Raul married Ramona in 1948, and together built a family and settled in Pico Rivera. Their home was always open to friends and family, where it seemed they had a joyous gathering every weekend.
He took great pride & enjoyment in keeping up the home & yard, and loved having family over to sit and chat for hours. He kept gardening well into old age, and only reluctantly transitioned to instructing a gardener after age 92.

A viewing will be held on January 27, 2023 at 5:30 p.m., at White Emerson Mortuary, with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at his long-term church, St. Hillary's Catholic Church, on Saturday January 28, 2023 at 9:00 a.m., followed by interment at Rose Hills Memorial Park.

"We will miss seeing Mr. Lozano working almost daily in his immaculate front yard. He never failed to wave and smile as we passed his home. He was a good neighbor."
