Gloria Bradshaw
October 20, 1938 - January 15, 2023

Gloria Bradshaw, 84 died on January 15, 2023 in Phoenix, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on October 20, 1938 in Endicott, NY to Alexander Byron DeShetler and Shirley (Barton) DeShetler. The family moved to Arizona in 1951, where Gloria graduated from North Phoenix High School in 1956 and the nursing program at Phoenix College in 1966. In 1956 she married and had three daughters with Howard "Hap" Fails, divorcing in 1960. In 1971 she married Gordon VR "Brad" Bradshaw and they remained married for the 52 years preceding her death. After taking an early retirement, she and Brad moved to Mayer, AZ where they lived when they became first EMTs and then Paramedics as well as helping found the Rescue Unit with Mayer Volunteer Fire District. She was part of medical teams in El Salvador, Navajo Nation, and Goma, Zaire (now Congo) during the Rwanda Crisis in 1994. She and Brad taught American English in Russia, China, Romania, and Crete, Greece. She is survived by her husband Brad, daughters Crystal Wells (Robert), Jodi Asin (Gerald), stepson Marc Bradshaw, and stepdaughter LuAnne Gray (David), 9 grandchildren, and 11 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Philip DeShetler (Vicci), daughter Dianne Marie O'Neill, and sister Jacqueline Peabody (Roger). Gloria will be remembered by all who knew her for her passion for helping others and her sense of humor, which remained intact right up to the end. "Glo was my moms best friend back on Northview Ave. She always seemed to be smiling and was ready for just about everything. Bringing up 3 girls is never easy but Glo was more than up to the task. A kind soul that will be greatly missed by all who knew her. "
