In loving memory of

Teri Lynn Dunn
February 18, 1955 - January 12, 2023

Teri L. Dunn (Moeller, Higbee) passed away peacefully with her daughter LeAnne at her side on Jan 12, 2022 at 9am. After a 5-year battle with cancer, Jesus came down to carry her HOME. Hallelujah!

Teri was born in Denison, IA to Robert & Virginia Moeller and grew up in Dow City, IA . Teri participated in Band, Choir, and Basketball. This year would have been her 68th birthday and 50th High School Reunion. She married Chuck Higbee in'76 and gave birth to Amanda in '77 in Ames, IA, and to LeAnne in '79 in Vermillion, SD. The Higbee Family lived in Sioux City, IA where they attended the RLDS church (Teri played piano & helped with children's programs). They moved to Parkersburg, WV (Teri spearheaded the Public Schools 'Child Abuse Prevention Program'), then to Wayne, NE (participated in community theater every summer). Teri and the girls moved to Norfolk, NE after the divorce. Teri moved to Omaha, NE in '96 and married Roger Dunn in '04, and settled in Council Bluffs, IA. She worked as a legal secretary, in nutrition stores, taught Vitalizer aerobics classes, and was a Residential Realtor in the 80s. She was proud of her diligence as a Real Property Appraiser for 18 years and handled 'closings' for a few different real estate brokerages/ lending institutions in her final years. She left a margin in her day to connect with people and always had a smile and encouraging words to give.

Teri was preceded in death by her husband Roger Dunn, sister Judy Ettleman. She is survived by the following family members; Brother: Chuck Moeller (sister-in-law Colleen, niece Carrie), Brother-In-Law Bob Ettleman (nephew Jim and niece Lisa), Daughter Amanda Chun (Mandi Higbee) (son-in-law Jacon and granddaughters Ariana, Cassandra & Kyla), Daughter LeAnne Kniewel (Higbee) (son-in-law: Robert and grandchildren Taylor, Reid, Savannah, Madison, Derrick, and Andrew, great-grandson Theodorick).

She was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in Feb '18 caused by undetected Radon gas in her home (Please get this checked out in yours!). After traditional allopathic treatment of chemotherapy, radiation, and a non-traditional 4Life (physician desk's reference listed cow colostrum proprietary nutritional supplement) regimen; the mass was gone. It showed up again in her Right hip less than a year later though. She decided not to do Chemo this time around since her research and experience showed it does not kill the Cancer Stem Cells. Instead, she opted to try Vit. C Intravenous treatment, Mistletoe, Ivermectin, Immunotherapy Drugs, and some Radiation. Teri has the Her2 Antibodies which makes fighting the spread of an insidious disease such as cancer very difficult. However, we did see God at work with the timing of her transition to heaven! Teri moved down to Austin, TX in May '22 to spend some quality time with her Granddaughters there. She had the opportunity to get into swimming pools, attend dance performances and musicals, watch dolphins play & smell the salt air, laugh & cry with her daughters on South Padre Island, and enjoy an early Christmas at an inspirational Church service where the pastor talked about choosing friends that encourage you in your relationship with Jesus. Teri was one of those friends.

Teri was honest, encouraging, and light filled even while struggling with the pain and complications of her illness. The Hospice Respite Home Nurses (incredible people) noticed a luminescence about her. How does someone "glow" and display a joyous aura as they lie there sleeping, ....approaching death. She was anticipating true LIFE with a restored body, that's how! Teri lived an earthly life being careful to speak and quick to apologize. She owned her mistakes, asked for forgiveness, and took the required steps to be better. She obeyed the promptings of the Holy Spirit to stay quiet, proclaim His character, pray & listen.

She was drawn to Lighthouses (Matthew 5:14-16) and Sunflowers for their symbolism (food for man, eyes & spirit). Lessons to be learned from the sunflowers include: the ability to grow roots deep and wide, to survive strong winds, and to always point their face towards the sun. She was a prepper (believer in the God given power of a spirit filled man not healthy, and declared His ordering of her steps often.to prophecy, inductive studier of God's word, believer in His power to work healing miracles and move nations in the present day.

Even though all things in this world point to a Heaven, there is that tiny chance that we could be wrong. However, we'll 'know that we know' (as she would say) when we see Him (like Teri gets to now). Her life's passion was confirmed. That will be such a glorious moment for all of us that believe that Jesus Loves us!

'Celebration of Life' and Birthday Party will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Nebraska Machine Products: 9101 F. St. Omaha, NE 68127.
