DANNY D. DAVIS
September 17, 1942 - January 4, 2023

Danny D. Davis, 80, of Gwinn, died Wednesday morning, January 4, 2023 at UP Health System-Marquette.

He was born September 17, 1942, in Winslow, Indiana, a son of Leo T. and Esther Marie (Harris) Davis.

Danny served in the US Air Force during the time of the Vietnam War.

On May 6, 1996, he married Wanda Filizetti at Calvary Baptist Church in Negaunee.

Danny held various jobs over the years, but his work in security at the Ojibwa Casino's in Baraga & Marquette was one he most enjoyed.

Danny & Wanda believed in charitable giving and were supporters of St. Jude Children's Hospital. He enjoyed the outdoors hunting, fishing and hiking.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Davis of Gwinn; children, Donna (Mark), Shaun (Charlotte) and Danny (Andrea), Deanna (Steve), Beth, John, Wayne (Stacey), Jack, Linda & Marcie; 22 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Marty (Patricia); niece, Melissa LaFernier and nephew, Ed Bourdage. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren, Amarah and Trevor; and siblings, Bill, Fred, Paul, Linda.

A celebration of Danny's life will be held in the spring and will be announced.
