Robert L. "Bob" Warner, 75, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Crestridge Care Center in Maquoketa, Iowa.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Buckhorn Cemetery, rural Maquoketa, Iowa.
Robert Leslie Warner was born on February 3, 1947 in Wauseon, Ohio, to Carl and Vernelda (Ingraham) Warner. He was a graduate of Swanton, Ohio High School and then attended Ohio University for two years. He married Lauleen Randolph on July 3, 1971 in Maquoketa, Iowa.
"Bob" had worked as a radio broadcaster for over 40 years, 37 of which were at KMAQ Radio Station in Maquoketa. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa and had been a former member of the Jackson County Senior Center, Knights of Pythias Lodge, and the Maquoketa JAYCEES. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians.
Those left to honor his memory include a brother, David Warner of Perrysburg, OH; a niece, Ann (Brian) Newton of Perrysburg, OH; a nephew Scott (Kam) Warner of Perrysburg, OH; and a daughter Laurie Warner. He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Jackson County.
