In loving memory of

Colleen F. Schultz
October 6, 1957 - January 2, 2023

Colleen Foley Schultz, age 65, passed away on January 2, 2023 at her home in Phoenix, Arizona following a battle with breast cancer.

Colleen was a warm and loving mother, wife, sister, and friend. She loved spending time with her family. She was overjoyed to meet her baby grandson Caleb and treasured every moment she spent with him. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Colleen was the youngest of four sisters and grew up in La Grange, Illinois and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona as a teenager and attended Central High School. She graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1979 with a degree in journalism.

In 1983 she met the love of her life, John Schultz, and they married in 1985. Colleen devoted the majority of her work career to being a stay-at-home mom, and later worked for several years at an insurance company. She spent many years involved in volunteer activities including teaching English as a second language to adults, helping children learn to read, and responding to calls on a local crisis pregnancy center helpline. Proud of her Irish heritage, Colleen was the family historian and genealogist. She spent years conducting research and building the family tree.

Colleen is survived by husband John Schultz, son Tim (Lauren) Schultz, daughter Caitlin Schultz, son Patrick (Cathy) Schultz, sister Eileen Foley, sister Kathleen (Cesar) Pringles, sister Maureen Foley-Kozik, niece Christine Newman, great-niece Shayna Nowak, and grandson Caleb Schultz.

She is preceded in death by granddaughter Natalie Kaye Schultz, mother Mary Foley (née O'Meara), and father Edward Foley.
