Margaret S. Lockett, age 88, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022.
Margaret S. Lockett was born to Paul Spearman and Flora Spearman on November 3, 1934, in Tupelo Mississippi. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband Tommie J. Lockett, son Zachary J. Lockett, siblings Walter Paul Spearman, Raymond Spearman, Artrie Spearman, Edward C. Spearman, Hester Luster and Amanda Reynolds.
Margaret accepted Christ early in life. She attended Morning Star Baptist Church from 1958 to 2011, and Salem Baptist Church from 2011 to present. Margaret was married to Tommie James Lockett in Sunflower, Mississippi on July 3, 1954. Two sons were of this union, Zachary and Eric.
Housewife when her children were young, then journey into entrepreneurship as a beautician. Margaret went to work as a school bus driver, and she retired from Lucent Technologies (originally General Electric). Margaret was involved in the order of The Eastern Star.
Margaret is survived by her son Eric Lockett of Omaha, brothers Jerry Spearman of St. Paul, MN, Robert (Kelly) Spearman of Burnsville, MN, sisters Frances Lucas of Omaha, Virgie Ola Fay Robinson of Belleville, IL, Joandale Boyd of St. Paul, MN, Brenda (Willie) Harris of Goodyear, AZ, sister in law Christine Spearman and Geraldine Spearman, aunt Florence Ida of Live Oaks, FL, daughter in law Julia Lockett and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 13, 2023, from 10-11AM with funeral service beginning at 11AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

"I want to send my condolences to the family I have known her all my life she?s my next door neighbor I will never forget how you showed me how to keep my yard looking good and all the pretty flowers you grew when I was little you let me eat your berries off your fruit tree and scolding me about being safe while riding my bike making sure Iam looking out for cars I am truly sadden by your passing.
