In loving memory of

Jerry Stanton Beard
October 26, 1956 - December 11, 2022

Jerry Stanton Beard was born October 26, 1956, to the union of Richard Gilbert and Margia Catherine Beard in Detroit, Michigan. He was the second born of their four children.

In 1974, Jerry graduated from Aero Mechanics Vocational High School in Detroit, Michigan. After graduation, Jerry traveled to Montana and worked there for a while as a surveyor. He later returned to Michigan to work at the same company as his father doing mechanical drafting. His father made the suggestion of joining the military and perhaps working with the medical core, which was advice Jerry took to heart.

In 1981, Jerry joined the Army. After basic training, he was assigned to the Medical Core and was training to become a Biomedical Equipment Specialist. Unfortunately, in 1982, Jerry was in a car accident which resulted in his Honorable Discharge from the Army. During his service to the country, he was awarded the Army Service Ribbon, Sharpshooter Badge, and Marksman Badge.

In 1986, Jerry met and married Lori Ann Robinson in Detroit, Michigan. They moved to Phoenix and shared a wonderful marriage of 35 years, just shy of 36. Their union produced three amazing children - Nathan, Shannon, and Dominique.

In 1991, Jerry accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Soon after, Jerry and Lori joined First Institutional Baptist Church of Phoenix, Arizona.

Jerry departed this life on December 11, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Beard and brother-in-law Duane Robinson. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Lori Beard; his son, Nathan Beard; his daughters, Shannon Beard and Dominique Beard-Bailey (Chris); his mother, Margia Beard; two sisters, Susan Brooks (John) and Doreen Beard-Hites; one brother, Michael Beard; father- and mother-in-law, Larry and Viola Robinson; two brothers-in-law, Lawrence Robinson and Derek Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
