Greg A. Wallace, age 78, of Phoenix, AZ and formerly Hinsdale, IL, died peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2022. Greg lived a remarkable life spending time with the people he loved immensely, a life full of travel, excelling in athletics, enjoying great food and heartfelt laughter, and also petting every dog who passed him by. He had a world of longtime friends, and colleagues who became friends, and whose lives he impacted greatly. Most importantly he had a family whom he loved fiercely and who will treasure him forever.
Greg was the devoted husband of the late Joan (née Berglind) Wallace, the loving father of Heather and Jeff (Aliza), and the grandfather of Sydney Lynn. He was the son of the late Alexander and Aura Wallace and the brother of the late Lynne (Helmut) Jurgeneit, the fond brother in law of Lynn (Terence) Manning, the loving uncle of Grant (Laurel), Laurie (Kevin) Pedder, Timothy (Sarah) Manning, and Daniel (Erin) Manning, and great uncle to many. He was godfather to Phil Priola, son of dear friends, Joe and Phyllis.
There will be a private interment at Bronswood Cemetery, Oak Brook, IL, where he will be laid to rest with his beloved Joanie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home Fur Good, a no-kill animal shelter in Phoenix, AZ: www.homefurgood.org.
