In loving memory of

Bryan Kottman
March 17, 1966 - November 24, 2022

Bryan Dale Kottman was born on March 17, 1966 and he passed away November 24, 2022.

He was born in Columbia Missouri the son of Harvey M and Amaryliss E (Freeze) Kottman. They lived in Milan Missouri, then moved to Unionville Missouri at age 5, where he spent the rest of his childhood. While at home he worked in the family hog business, then went on to graduate from Putnum County High School in 1984. Bryan completed a 2 year associate degree in mechanics at a tech school in Des Moines Iowa. He did multiple handyman jobs and also enjoyed agricultural work. He loved riding his motorcycle and fast cars. He bought a home in Mt Pleasant Iowa and started working at Jabil, a plastic molding company in 1992. He worked there for 30 years, and made many lifelong connections with his co-workers. When he wasn't working he was mowing- our place, his friends' places, and even a church lawn. It was a labor of love for him.

Bryan was joined in marriage to his wife Barbara (Cutkomp) September 10th 2001. They had fun camping, making bonfires, and going fishing on their boat. Barb and Bryan enjoyed each other's company during peaceful rainstorms and those were some of their fondest memories.

Bryan was always hardworking and he put everything he had into his projects. Helping others with their projects was a priority for Bryan. He had a good heart. Bryan also had a need for speed in his younger years, and always dreamed of restoring his 1966 Pontiac LeMans and taking it to car shows. Bryan loved his family and greatly enjoyed making memories, particularly at Lake Saguma with his siblings. They would fish, fish, and fish! He wanted to spend precious time with his grandchildren but his sickness curtailed many of his desires. Thanks to a close friend and his wife he gave his heart to Jesus one summer day this year!

Bryan was preceded in death by his father Harvey M Kottman and his mother Amaryliss E (Freeze) Kottman. He is survived by his wife Barbara of 21 years. Also his brothers Rick (Terry)Kottman of Cedar Falls, Iowa. David (Melinda) Kottman of Oshkosh Wisconsin. Curtis (Mary) Kottman from Fort Atkinson Wisconsin. Victoria Kottman of Smithton Missouri. Stepdaughter Stephanie (DeVilbiss) Hill (Isaac) Hill. Grandchildren Ericson, Ellie Mae, and Samuel Hill. Jenna and Bryce Janssen. A celebration of life will be planned sometime this coming spring.
