WADE ALTON CARTER, SR.
June 7, 1948 - November 19, 2022

Wade Alton Carter Sr., 74, of Sands, MI, died unexpectedly on November 19, 2022. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by Wade's sudden death.

Wade was born on June 7, 1948 in Marquette, a son of Alton and Ruth Carter.

Wade was a small business owner, he owned and operated Sand's Auto in Sands for many years. Wade was proud of owning Sands Auto and made it his life's work. He poured his heart and soul into the business and made many friends along the way. Everyone who knew Wade knew how much he loved being in the garage. In addition to owning Sand's Auto, Wade was passionate about singing karaoke, and could often be found with a Pepsi in his hand at the local bar with his friends, singing his favorite country songs.

Wade is survived by his two children, Wade (Dee) Carter of Gwinn and Crystal (Jeff) Johnson; six grandchildren, Mastin, Madeline, Sam, Scott, Nathan and Jemma; three brothers, Bruce (Anita) Carter, Dennis (Mary) Carter and Fred Carter; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Wade was preceded in death by his mother and father; brothers, Gordan and Terry Carter; and his son, Warren Allen Carter.

A celebration of Wade's life will be held at the Happy Hour Bar in Gwinn on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 2 until 5 p.m.

We will miss Wade more than words can say.
