Joanne H. Fosmire
Joanne Harriet Fosmire was born on a farm, near Mabel, MN in Fillmore County in June, 1930 and passed away in October, 2022. "Joan" was the youngest child in the family, with two older siblings. When she was 11 years old, she and her mother moved to Rochester, MN and when she was 12, she and her family moved to California. After high school, she worked at the Gas Company in Los Angeles, where she met Edward. They were married in April 1951. They moved to La Mirada, CA where they raised 11 children. She worked as a Teacher's Aide for Norwalk-La Mirada School District for many years. She lived a very full life as she loved babies, art, time with her friends, antiques, thrift stores, music and collecting books. She especially enjoyed her children, grand-children and great grandchildren. She is survived by her 11 children, 24 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren, her brother (100 years old), and sister (98 years old). Joanne will be fondly remembered for her beautiful smile, wonderful sense of humor and infectious laughter. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Olive Lawn Memorial Park in La Mirada.
