Madalyn L. Rank, 95, of Carroll, formerly of Fort Dodge, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Carroll.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2022 at Laufersweiler Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Miller of Christ Lutheran Church officiating. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery.
Madalyn is survived by her children James Rank Jr. and his wife Mary of Fort Dodge and Barry Rank and his wife Connie of Ogden; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and brothers John Breeden of Fort Dodge and Robert Breeden of Gowrie.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Rank, Sr.; parents Edward and Thelma (Jeremeland) Breeden; brothers, Davey Ray, Jimmy, Edward, Donald, and Daniel; and sisters Darlene Marsh and Donna Deal.
Madalyn Lydia Breeden was born May 30, 1927 in Sweetwater, TX. The family moved to Iowa and she was raised and educated in Fort Dodge. On October 30, 1942, Madalyn was united in marriage to James Rank, Sr. and the couple made their home on a farm near Fort Dodge. For many years, she was employed with Woolsworth and later for Fort Dodge Fruit and Grocery. Besides being a loving wife and mother she loved working on the family farm.
